The Okanagan Development & Alumni Engagement team is a tight-knit, collaborative and high-performing major gift fundraising team responsible for raising $12 million per year in support of the Okanagan campus’s top priorities. Our fundraising projects support our talented and ambitious people, capital and research priorities. We are seeking a Manager, Proposal Writing & Communications to join our amazing fundraising team and inspire and steward donor investment.

As the Manager, Proposal Writing & Communications you will be responsible for initiating, developing, managing and delivering a full range of communications services in support of DAE Okanagan fundraising and alumni engagement objectives, including proposals/case statements, general correspondence, letters on behalf of the executive director and senior leadership, direct response materials and stewardship reports. In addition, you will provide strategic input on communications projects undertaken by the unit to ensure the completeness, accuracy and consistency of messaging and content. You will develop and implement communications materials and vehicles providing donors with meaning opportunities for engagement and investment with the University.
Reporting to the Director of Advancement the Manager, Proposal Writing and Communications, you will work collaboratively with UBC Okanagan faculty and staff involved in fundraising activities for the university. Responsibilities will include writing, researching, editing and proofreading a variety of communications materials such as letters, donor/prospect solicitation materials and correspondence, reports, newsletter/magazine content, online and social media content, donor/prospect stories, speeches and other fundraising materials.
