ALZHEIMER CALGARY
• A role grounded in purpose.
• A supportive team united by a bold vision and shared passion.
• A strong, strategic mission-driven organization reshaping life and the future for people living with dementia
Consider joining us at the Alzheimer Society of Calgary, where shared values and fresh ideas meet the ambition, energy, and encouragement to move them forward. We’re searching for the right person to join us full-time as the Donor Support & Data Specialist.
The Donor Support & Data Specialist will report to the Director of Philanthropy and will support fundraising activities through administration, management, and purposeful analysis of our donor database, Raiser’s Edge. You will also provide support to donors by monitoring the main philanthropy phone and email inboxes, answering donor questions, helping process donations over the phone, troubleshooting website questions, and forwarding requests to the appropriate team members.
In your role, you will be accountable for the database and its content, helping Alzheimer Calgary implement our fundraising strategy, identify new prospects, and steward existing donors. You will help strengthen donor relationships by ensuring accurate and timely gift entry and processing (including issuing tax receipts, memorial acknowledgements, etc.), as well as support the administration of our annual Alzheimer Walk & Run. You will understand data effectively to pull queries and lists, enabling us to execute and grow our fundraising programs. You will also use your critical thinking skills to support evaluation and reporting.
The right candidate believes in a donor-centered approach. You have a positive attitude, enjoy working with a team, and have strong project management skills with an ability to multi-task and set priorities. You are committed to data integrity, are results-oriented, and recognize the integral role you play in the success of the team.
Our ideal person has demonstrated expertise in donor database management, with a minimum of three years of experience working in Raiser’s Edge. The right candidate will have excellent time management skills, CRA knowledge and compliance, and excellent communication skills (oral and written).
Dementia is a growing issue affecting too many families in the Calgary community. The need for local programs and services is ever-increasing, as is the need for increased financial support to make them possible.
Our culture is buoyed by an entrepreneurial-style spirit. We take pride in maintaining a flexible, team-oriented work environment. We offer a hybrid work environment, competitive salaries, excellent benefits package including health, dental, EFAP, and a health and wellness spending account. We are an organization that supports employee professional development, work life balance and employee wellness.
This posting will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.
