In your role, you will be accountable for leading the coordination and execution of Alzheimer Calgary’s signature fundraising event, the annual IG Wealth Management Alzheimer Walk & Run. Taking place in October, the event has continued to grow over the last 32 years. In 2023, over 1,500 participants raised over $350,000. This event brings the community together to honour those impacted by dementia and raise funds to support ongoing Alzheimer Calgary programming. Throughout the year, you will also support other fundraising activities as needed, including digital and email campaigns and supporting community fundraising.
In your role, you will ensure projects are positioned to deliver set goals through careful planning, effective management and coordination, teamwork, and ongoing evaluation. Overseeing an Event Coordinator on logistics for the Walk & Run, you will ensure event planning stays on track, looking for opportunities to
strategically grow the event and reach a bigger audience. In your other work, you will identify and execute opportunities to grow digital campaigns, community fundraising, and other activities.
