JA Southern Alberta has strong individual giving and corporate giving programs and we are looking for someone to take this stable $2M per year organization to the next level.
Reporting to the President & CEO and supervising a Fund Development Coordinator and Manager, the role of the Director is to oversee, execute and monitor a variety of fund development programs that support the growth objectives and funding priorities of JA Southern Alberta. You will be responsible for achieving these objectives by leading and cultivating relationships with corporations, foundations and individuals. You will also be responsible for donor research, proposal development, grant writing and donor stewardship. Oversight of database management and reporting and special events, including the Alberta Business Hall of Fame, round out your portfolio. Your ability to work in a face-paced, team environment, managing multiple stakeholders will ensure your success in this role.
The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience, be goal-oriented, self-motivated and have excellent communication and computer skills. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and work experience are required. CFRE is an asset.
